Project Details
The moving and expansion of the central pharmacy at the hospital involved construction of an 8,400-square-foot USP 797 compliant pharmacy, completed in three-phases, and construction of an 26,500-square-foot USP 800 pharmacy and associated swing space, completed in six phases. The large space included new central sterile, distribution, transport, and pathology spaces. Elements of the completed central pharmacy included security, pass-throughs, ante rooms, pneumatic tubes, transport robots, and pharmacy robots. This technology, incorporated with the best practices of USP 797 and USP 800, allows the pharmacy to support the future growth of the hospital.
