Project Details
Constructed in 1922, the Schenley Quad Plaza is a designated Pittsburgh Historic Landmark. Surrounded by five residence halls, the plaza is built over a one-story, below grade parking deck that includes a loading/service area and a facilities trade workshop. The plaza suffered from years of water intrusion, waterproofing failure, and structural deterioration. Repairs made to the plaza created a defining civic, community space on this urban campus offering a sense of place encouraging student engagement and interaction.
