Project Details
Careful coordination was required for the demolition and replacement of the 1,300-foot Norfolk Southern bridge over Conneaut Creek with active railway traffic. Work included deep foundations, concrete piers, structural steel deck, and framework and involved approximately 2,500 cubic yards of cast-in-place concrete, mass concrete pours, placement of typical 90-foot steel girder deck sections, and replacing open railway tie deck with 180-foot main girder span over the creek.
